Most freight quotes come with an asterisk. Ours is one number: $10.99 per kilogram, warehouse to front door, customs handled. This guide explains exactly what that covers, how the weight is calculated, and what it costs for a real shipment.
Your supplier sends your goods to our consolidation warehouse in China. From there, we take over completely — export, air transit, Australian customs, and delivery to your address. No depot collection at your end, no separate last-mile bill, no chasing a second carrier when something goes wrong.
Goods crated and staged at our China consolidation warehouse before departure.
What the $10.99 Covers
Four stages, one rate. Nothing gets added at the end.
01
Goods Arrive at Our China Warehouse
Your supplier ships to our consolidation warehouse. We receive, check and log your goods on arrival.
02
Air Transit
Export clearance, then flown to Australia. Typically 5–10 days door to door.
03
Customs Clearance
Documentation prepared and lodged. We handle the process so you don’t have to learn it.
04
Delivery to Your Door
Parcels 20 kg and under go via Australia Post — tracked, nationwide, residential addresses included.
Can’t your supplier arrange freight to the warehouse? Most can — it’s a standard domestic delivery within China and usually costs very little. If yours can’t, we can collect directly from them for an additional fee. Just tell us when you book and we’ll quote that leg separately.
How the Weight Is Calculated
This is where most quotes go sideways. Air freight is charged on chargeable weight — the higher of your actual weight or your volumetric weight.
Volumetric Weight
L (cm) × W (cm) × H (cm) ÷ 6000
Charged on the higher of actual or volumetric weight, at $10.99/kg
A dense 15 kg carton of hardware is charged at 15 kg. A 60 × 50 × 50 cm box of cushions weighing 8 kg is charged at 25 kg — because that’s the space it occupies on the aircraft.
Got your carton dimensions? We’ll calculate the exact chargeable weight for you.
Say you’re importing a mixed order — some dense product, some bulky product. Here’s how it prices out.

Freight only, from our China warehouse to your Australian address. Import duty and GST are assessed separately by Australian Border Force based on the value of your goods. Actual pricing depends on your exact dimensions, product type and destination — this is a worked illustration, not a quote.
The other end of $10.99/kg — delivered straight into the garage. No depot run required.

Common Questions
How do my goods get to your China warehouse?
Your supplier sends them — it’s a standard domestic delivery within China and most factories arrange it as a matter of course. We’ll give you the warehouse address and a reference to mark on the cartons. If your supplier genuinely can’t arrange freight, we can collect from them for an additional fee.
Is duty and GST included in the $10.99?
No. The rate covers freight, clearance handling and delivery. Duty and GST are assessed separately by Australian Border Force based on the declared value of your goods. If you’re GST-registered, import GST is generally claimable.
What happens if my parcel is over 20 kg?
It goes via freight carrier instead of Australia Post — including our own fleet across South East Queensland. Tail-lift is available for bulky consignments where there’s no loading dock at the delivery address.
Can you combine goods from several suppliers?
Yes — that’s exactly what the consolidation warehouse is for. Have each supplier ship to us, we hold your goods until everything arrives, then send it as one shipment with one customs clearance and one delivery. It usually reduces both cost and hassle, especially if your cartons would otherwise travel half-empty.
What if my goods are bulky and lightweight?
Then volumetric weight will drive your cost, and sea freight may be the better call — it’s priced on cubic metres and starts from $2/kg. Send us the dimensions and we’ll quote both so you can compare properly.
How long does it actually take?
Typically 5–10 days from our China warehouse to your door. Clearance timing and biosecurity inspection can extend this for certain product categories — we’ll flag it upfront if your goods are likely to be affected.
Before you order: Ask your supplier for carton dimensions, not just weight. Two minutes with a tape measure is the difference between an accurate freight budget and an unwelcome surprise on the invoice.

We order from four different suppliers. They all ship to 77’s warehouse in China, it comes over as one shipment, and Australia Post drops it at our door. We stopped driving to depots months ago.
